You have to engrave your answers in gold leaf.

Becasue they've done so for the last 6 or so years and grads are so desperate to get into medicine they'll pay whatever it takes to have a shot at it...

nas7232,

I don't know if this is too late but; I e-mailed the GAMSAT offices to ask about any financial help they offer. Unfortunately they do not.

But... 'Perhaps you could contact the universities you are interested in to find out if they offer anything. All their contact details are on our website.'

None of them do...

It's too late for me but thanks anyway. GAMSAT is a good idea for me but I need to study for the 4th year these holidays and know crap all chemistry and rusty as hell in biology & haven't wrote essays in time. I'm gonna apply for it next year if I get rejected from my UKCAT unis.

The results are valid for two years as well remember where as the UKCAT is only validfor one. So if you get a good score on it but don't get into for another reason you can use the same score the next year.

Also graduate medicine is not cheap to get into, you can't get a loan for the fees and the NHS bursary only covers the 2nd 3rd and 4th years so you need the money for your first years fees (correct me if I am totally off the mark on this)

it's probably for the best not to use it when applying. I dunno about you, but atm I'm using my annoyingly short break to earn money. Your break will be longer than mine, but still, I'll be earning long before you if you do medicine so it evens out.
