DId I fail English Lang GCSE? I USED NO TECHNIQUES

In the Language I wrote the letter about adventures.

I'm a moron so I completely forgot to use techniques. I literally just wrote a letter. At no point did I use similes, 3 in a row, rhetorical questions, exclamation marks.
Honestly, what's the chance at this point that I even passed based on that fact?

omg same. i only realised last minute i used none of that AFOREST shizz.
but im guessing there were some in there without you realising? its usually the case

Yes, a range of techniques would have been useful. It depends how well you structured your writing. Did you remember to use paragraphs? Was the basic punctuation there? From this point, you'd get more marks if you used a variety of sentence structures and more sophisticated punctuation.

English examiners **** over techniques for some stupid reason ( it is an english exam tbf)
But like if you got no techniques, they gonna think you aren't giving a convincing voice.
Its gonna sound robotic, like Dear Mr ****, Im writing to inform you about the economical misconducts of blah blah blah.
But robotic may be enough to get a pass
