Okay so I’m moving out of halls tomorrow and we’ve accumulated loads of dirty dishes but they can’t be washed because it’s food that got like microwaved on and is stuck and I can put them in the halls bin because they’ll know and I’m not taking them home so see if I put them in a bag and put them in a public bin is that illegal ? I’m worried because there’s some knives

I haven’t done it yet btw

I'm guessing they don't have hot water at your halls then? Get washing.

If it’s your own stuff you can do what you want with it. If you’re getting rid of the knives do it responsibly though.

What am I missing? Why can't you just put them in the halls bin? Not one of the recycling ones obviously, but just the general one? Then the cleaner will chuck them out when they clean up after everyone has gone

No they won’t , they’re so weird about bins I broke a plate a few months ago and they came knocking on my door at 11pm asking why I’d put it in the bin and saying I should of contacted them instead . My halls has like 30 people and all the staff know us by name it’s not like normal halls

I was saying that you're in uni... but firstly doesn't know how to microwave, and use the correct dish LOL... even my 5 year old brother knows that... Then the knife situation LOL.. Just pop them in a bag and surley you know how to drive.. Drive to the nearest local bin or skip and dump it... not hard :rofl3:
