I got like -2, and -0.5. it can't have been minimum because the entire numerator was negative and the denominator was positive since it was squared. I checked it 4\5 times over.

Looks like there’s one question we didn’t both get right 😬 I got a maximum and a minimum. What were the values you subbed in?

Same here, it was a pretty fiddly second derivative so I may have made a mistake.

I got x = 4 and x = 1 too; one of them I got to be maximum (can't remember which), the other minimum

well i think if the sign error is there for the differential you may well get 2 - 3 marks may be defo 2 imo

There might have been a maximum and one minimum. But either way if you work it out that far you would get at least 3 marks

Do you think the paper was overall easier / the same / more difficult than last year's. I thought it was pretty similar, but last year I was too slow so lost marks for questions that I could have done with another 5 minutes...

Defo harder than last year and 2017 imo as the 7 marker and complex 2nd derivative etc; a solid 13-18 marks were solid topics

I guess it depends on how people fared with that last question. I would anticipate an A* boundary level around 65 (like last year's). The first five questions were relatively straightforward, and in my opinion maybe even easier than the two previous years' papers. Q8 was certainly a question where some marks will have been dropped.
