Looking at past markschemes, the answers seem very ridiculously specific such as allow "X and Y beacuse Z" but ignore "A or B or C" - My question is, are the mark schemes just generalisations of the answer so if I said one point in a few sentences or a range of points in a different way that the mark scheme specifies but with the same general ideas, would you still get the marks?

um i dont think so (especially if you're with aqa eg. for sciences) they're super super specific which sucks bc if you know the content and miss out just bc you wrote x instead of y is really not great. i guess try doing past/spec papers to see a pattern in question types and answers

Yeah, some exam boards are very specific especially AQA for science. This is why you should really focus on not only the content but also vocabulary! So maybe really focus on that for the next physics paper :-) It's really dumb, as I remember I got a 4 in my y10 mock despite knowing almost everything on the spec because I didn't answer questions in "the right way" ugh.

I found this PDF, hopefully this will help https://filestore.aqa.org.uk/resourc...JECT-VOCAB.PDF
