Thought it was appropriate to make this soc considering the increase in popularity of the genre. :music:

Here you can discuss new up and coming artists, DJ live sets or gigs you've been to, or spread the word on some hidden gems you've got.

IMO the Digitalism, Bloody Beetroots, Boys Noize, Justice, TIGA, The Whip, Goose, Soulwax and The Presets are fire when it comes to electro. #badger#

Loving the Kitsuné and Dr. lektroluv comps too.

Im a big electro fan. I prefer synthy electro which I can listen to whether Im relaxing at home or just about to go out.

Some of my favourite DJs :

Van She Tech They are the best remixers around at the moment. Their remixes are always a totally different take on the original song unlike Soulwax for example.

    Feist 1,2,3,4 remix - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9tPwW4dyOQ

Bag Raiders My favourite new DJs. Their music always makes me smile, Im a sucker for synths.

Galvatrons When We Were Kids remix - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBRgb_kg1T8

Crookers Their style is more dirty electro. I saw them last week and they were amazing. Really danceable music with heavy bass.

    We Are Prostitutes - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfgQSiLthxI

Also like Alan Braxe, Erol Alkan, Digitalism, Justice, Boys Noize, Bloody Beetroots, Rex the Dog and loads more. Ive seen quite a few of them live and every single one has been a quality night.

I'm never quite sure where to draw the line with genres, so bearing that in mind:

Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, The Books, Boy Eats Drum Machine, Chaos a.d., Digitalism, ediT, Four Tet, Hexstatic, The Knife, Koop, Ladytron, Lindstrom, M83, Manitoba, Minotaur Shock, MSTRKRFT, Nostalgia 77, Orbital, Prefuse 73, Scorn, Slowhill, Squarepusher, Tiga, Tycho, UNKLE, Viva La Fete

No order other than alphabetical, though Aphex Twin coming first is awfully suitable.
