When I am training for a race or competition, yes.

Otherwise, not really. Instead I am more mindful of the macro-nutrients I am consuming. Making sure to balance the carbs, protein and fat. And having enough fibre and water.

Edit: Also, keeping check of the meal times.

Personally I'm not that strict, but I know my kcal limit and how much my intake is nearly everyday

No. Not for me. I eat fresh food and not so many ready made meals and take aways.
