I thought I had failed and I got 4 As and 2 Cs at AS level
So there's hope yet

though I really do think I have failed this year!
Damn A levels, hate to tell yu, but they're far harder than AS, well at least in English they are
I swear psychology has gotton easier...saying that I've probabaly failed

arrr god luck next year

I did pretty badly as well.

But I don't think it's worth getting too depressed about- not at this stage, anyway. When we all officially know our results, then we can make a judgement on how well we've done.

definately failed economics.

same, i was hoping to get an A but that is never going to happen considering how badly i did

Reply 8

how do you guys get to know your results so quickly

i think i've messed maths up. i did well on D1 yesterday, but it won't be enough to pull my C1 and C2 grades up. i was hoping for an A, but now i'll be pretty much elated if i get a B.

Reply 10

Yeah i am really concerned.
Have sat 1 history,my philosophy and ethics and my english synoptic and all seem to have gone badly....
I have spoken to my mum and said i may take a year out if i fail and re-do them.
:/ But to everyone else, i am sure it's not as bad as you think:smile: really!

To all those concerned ... a B is not a fail

Don't mean to be pedantic but I think you mean A2s? AS levels are just as much a part of A-levels as A2s.

A2s don't have to be harder. I actually found mine easier. I was in (slightly) better health and we were covering more interesting material.

There can be quite a step up from GCSE to AS but during your AS year you're able to develop your essay writing skills etc, this (along with that most are more mature a year later) means that A2s can often be easier.

If you fail, resit.

 I bloody well hope not. If so that means I've got into an elite university without any A-levels

that's the Asian Scale of Grading. xD

I hope you're not one of these people who say "I failed that exam" straight after every exam, when you know you done well, just to draw attention to yourself.

There's no way !Katy could have thought she failed every exam, maybe didn't do as well as she hoped, it's just not possible to think you've failed (as in got less than 40% right) and then get 4 As and 2 Cs.

Reply 17

Congrats?

Reply 18

Think I got a B yesterday in the exam I took, which in my eyes is as good as a fail because I need an A overall in English Lit to get into uni :frown: We'll see though.

Reply 19

A B is a fail to me though. If I get any bs then I don't go to uni.. Seeing as I'm only taking a levels to get into uni, if I miss my offer I fail. Which makes getting a B a fail. I will be so pissed off on results day if I don't get AAA and one of my friends says to me 'but AAB isn't a fail, that is still really good'.
