2 questions (sorry this is a bit of a read)

1. Should I look at Warwick or Manchester for the open day, been majorly put off Warwick due to rape/racism scandals and unsure whether it's a waste or if it's way better than manc for bio. also nightlife isn't as good

2. application for Oxford biology or natsci? Cambridge has Saturday lectures, a smaller place and INTENSE workload, maths module and a worse nightlife acting as a deterrent but it has a more flexible course and has better research, and I could change my degree etc. rather than being fixed with biology.

help me please kind ppl of TSR!!!

What about York.Good for bio, great safe city.Warwick research not any where near as good neither is Manchester.Sheffield also worth considering. You need to research these courses as well as you have done for Oxford and Cambridge
Are you going to get two A*A Cambridge want and the nightlife really is not comparable with Oxford.

Bristol very different. No Campus and uni is spread all over city. Bulk of accommodation is outside town 10-15 min bus ride. I personally loved city for a visit but did not like uni set up. I think you could feel very lost there and no one would notice. This was before all the sad suicides btw I just did not like vibe!
Course is more ecology based. Son felt he would prefer a broader course as he did not want to specialise too early. Staff did not seem very friendly either.
York was super friendly and the staff went out of their way to answer all our questions. Pastoral care also good. Well respected in field of Biology. Broad based course.
