Stirling music scene

I have firmed the University of Stirling but just wondering what the music scene is like. Im more into alternative music, anything like that going on there?

I'm basically binge reading the Ian Rankin "inspector Rebus" novels as a quick way to understand better Scotland

he occasionally mentions pop/indie music (every other page) so there does seem to be some independent spirits up north
