2019 Paper 3 Chemistry A-level OCR Predictions:

Missing from Paper 1:

  • Ø Practical
  • Ø Structure and bonding inc intermolecular forces
  • Ø Bond angles
  • Ø Writing redox equations
  • Ø Unusual ligand substitutions/complexes (with empirical formula)
  • Ø Mechanisms from rates of reaction data
  • Ø Enthalpy from practical data
  • Ø Testing ions
  • Ø Periodicity
  • Ø PV=nRT


Missing from Paper 2:

  • Ø Purification of organic solid/liquid
  • Ø Nucleophilic addition
  • Ø Nucleophilic substitution
  • Ø Phenol
  • Ø Novel organic chemistry (applying knowledge to new/odd functional groups)
  • Ø 24 DNP and other organic chem tests to Identify

Arrhenius hasn't turned up at all, I think it's worth going over again, also the Arrhenius plot. Radicals breaking down ozone, e.g. chlorine and NO. (nitrogen monoxide)

I hope so, I like drawing that graph of lnk against 1/T and finding the activation energy and the pre-exponential factor A. It would be marks in the bag!
