Okay so I checked my bank balance online today and saw that Ive been charged £76 by paypal.
It says on the statement "unpaid items £20 and £4.98" charge £76
I phoned paypal and they said they cant see why ive been charged £76.
I paid for the items i won on ebay, the people received their money.
So does anyone know why I've been charged so much? :/

OK, what else did they say? "They cannot see why you've been charged..." So? They will refund it? Tough luck?

Not with paypal, but I've been charged for "unpaid charges" before when there's not been enough money in my account in the first place to pay the charges. It was only £20 though for an unpaid charge of about £500

76 = 2 x 38, sounds like 2 charges levied by your bank for direct debits they've had to refuse. Which bank is your account with? (Some do charge different amounts)

Im with natwest. I phoned them up and they charged £38 x 2 for the unpaid items.. when they were only £4 and £20 i thought i had enough money in my account.
they said they will only refund the £76 if it was their fault.
ive had the account for 7 years and this is the first time something like this has happened, do you think i'll be able to claim the money back?

Probably not. If the companies taking the direct debits took them on the incorrect day then they should refund you the charge. You could try complaining a bit more?
