Alright so just a quick question...

I'm looking to buy a new car and have found an Audi A4 2.5tdi that I really like, but it's got a reconditioned engine and done 80,000 miles (I don't have a problem with the miles). I don't know much about reconditioned engines at all.

Should this be a red flag to avoid at all costs? or if it's been done properly and the seller has the relevant documentation is it fine? I'm going to look at this car in a few hours so advice would be brilliant.

as long as its been done by a decent company and the guy can prove it there shouldn't be a problem. but make sure you know why the work needed to be done.

If the change is fully documented and, ideally, their is some proof of the mileage of the replacement engine, then it wouldnt bother me in the slightest.
