Did anybody else here waste a whole 2 years of their life doing GNVQ ICT?

I remember on the course description it stated "If you achieve a Distinction it is equivalent to 4 A grades at GCSE". Load of rubbish.
I actually started the course a year late, and 2 weeks before the deadline I was on a pass (4 C's) so I had to finish 2 of my biggest projects in less than 2 weeks with my GCSEs going on at the same time. It was horrible..probably the most stressful period of my life (minus A levels )

Then in my sixth form interview, one of the snobby interviewers said "I see you took a GNVQ well that isn't really significant". And i thought, what was all that hard work for?? I ended up ranting about how long it had bloody taken me, and how it was the worst thing of my life..etc etc (those who have done GNVQ ICT will understand completely how i feel)..
I think that shut her up

    I did this

I did it, my college recognised it as 2 A*s and 2 As, and that what the school said it was. *shrug* Still. I thought it was awesome/easy ^_^

They used to do a GNVQ in ICT at my school, but they changed it to GCSE ICT for the year above me. The GCSEs still pretty dire though. Or should I say was? It's over now

The course wouldn't allow us to get more than an A. I know with DIDA you could get A*s damn it! Should've taken Dida..but that would have meant i had to drop French. Im glad I didn't, i used to love French!
