Check the leaflet but with most past 3/12 hours you wouldn't be protected.

It depends on the pill, but for most you do have 12 hours to take it. I you don't manage to take it within 12 hours, you will need to either abstain from sex or use condoms for a week.

Which pill are you on? Certain ones are very time dependent, others (mine for example) say that you're still protected if you miss a pill but you should take it as soon as you remember, even if that means taking 2. Any more than 1 missed in a month is a pregnancy risk. And how have you ran out? Contraceptive pills are usually provided in strips of 21 with days written on them, so one strip per month.

You can run packs together without taking a break if you need to, and then just take a 7 day break after the 2 packs.
