Just wondering how many people on here are intrested into Road cycle races, and who will be watching the Brillant Tour De France that starts on July the 5th.

I will hear a lot about it from my boyfriend who is a massive bike geek (currently has 3 bikes and a frame in his bedsit) but whether or not I'll actually watch any is highly unlikely. It interests me, but not that much!!!

I will take a vague interest, but I have lost partial interest due to the drug scandals.

Jan was a very very good rider. Shame he faced the greatest athlete of all time during his career.

Here we are, Le (or La... or even El :dontknow:) Grand Depart, 1430 today.

I'm starting to really look forward to this, its been a long wait since last year. Hopefully, there'll be no drug scandals this year, as I don't believe the TdF can take another blow like that.

Evans is my man for the maillot jaune, although Valverde is a strong contender. Pity that Contador isn't allowed in this year, but, hey ho.

Anyone else up for it then?

Woo the tour de france is back again! Hopefully the Brits can win a few prizes this time. Millar is in a good position to possibly snatch the yellow jersey but more likely Mark Cavendish could win a stage.

I really am not sure who will win overall. Contrador, Evans, Valverde? Even Hincapie?

Valverde has made a good strong start, but I'm still rooting for Evans. Is Contador in this years race?

Who to bet on, who to bet on?

Should I go for it now, or wait until after the CLM tomorrow?

The problem I have is that anyone I pick has flaws/can't be trusted for the full race/can't be trusted in the mountains..........

I'm so tempted to go for Cunego @ 16s,...........help me out guys!

Nice to see Cavendish win a stage

Regarding who to put some money on even though i think Evans will win it because of his time trailing compared to his main rivals, if Kim Kirchen is still ahead of evans after the next 2 days which contain category 2 climbs i think it would be worth a bet on him personally as hes generally a decent climber and could do it if he gets the help from his team.

Can get him at 16's but id guess that would shorten if he could hang in there for the next couple of days.
