Why is it that we learn loads of topics like environment or drugs and in the exam questions like "Are wars justifiable?" come up that have NO relevance to what we have learnt.

So how do we revise for Unit 6c?

I know I do have to agree in the most part. I'm gonna revise by doing past papers and learning good essay phrases to use in the exam.

There's always a 6c question that's something like 'C'est difficile d'etre jeune de nos jours. Etes-vous d'accord?' In which case you can say bloody well anything. Just focus on that sort of question. My teacher reckons that those who do the EU/environment topical ones don't score as highly because they expect more if you attempt these questions.

Anyway don't worry. You actually only need about 60% marks for 80% UMS on this paper, and it's only work about 10% anyway.

I think of the 6c part as more of 'General Studies in French' and I find it's ok actually. Can let off some steam and write about something fairly current.

    vraiment?!
so you mean you only need 60% of the marks to get an A on it (which is 80% UMS) right?

It varies from year to year, but typically...yeah. I think it's the same for 6b as well, but don't quote me on that

Yeah cos I was quite depressed really, only getting around 65% when I'm aiming for an A, because I thought 65% would be about a C. But no
