I've visited Newcastle and Northumbria. And I've spent some time at Cambridge and the LSE. Based on casual observation, I would say LSE has the fittest girls.

How fit are the girls (or guys if you're a girl) at your uni/College?

For those unfamiliar with the lingo: Fitness = Attractiveness (which could also include sporting fitness). Included so as not to bias the poll in favour of L'boro uni (a sporty uni).

    What a shallow thread.
It's not shallow at all. Since league tables are available for many things, I think some criterion on the fitness of the student population should add value to them. It would provide another dimension to aid prospective applicants to make a more informed decision about which university to choose.

Trust me... The international make up of LSE, being what it is, offers a wide variety to suit all tastes. Sorry, that didn't sound like what I meant. ;-)

But why on earth would anyone consider one of the criteriors of a 'good' university on the looks of fellow students?

Surely most people would prefer to go on reputation, graduate prospects etc? I personally want to go to uni to get the best degree I can and thus better job prospects rather than the chance of getting a good looking boyfriend or being surrounded by good looking people.

It just sounds so superficial to me, that all.

Haha what a great thread. I would guess one of the unis that doesn't specialise in sciences or maths?

I think that very sporty universities (eg Loughborough) would probably have guys with the best bodies!

I used to visit there quite often, well, just the library because I wanted to experience the amazingly ergonomically designed steps.

Think about it... Going to university is more than just about studying and getting a degree. It should be a coming-of-age period, a time for self-discovery. As you will be spending 3-4 years of your life at uni, you will want to have fun during that time - lots of it. And this involves social interaction - debating, presenting, chatting, partying and shagging. Critical to the latter two is the level of fitness in the student population.

Oxford also has its fair share of fit girls!!!
