I want a pair of denim shorts for summer - just as something easy and comfy to shove on with a tee when it gets hot. I thought it would be really easy to find a pair - they're os basic, but turns out it's not. I've seen a couple, but they're all either like, too long (to knees) or far too short (more like hotpants).

I'm just looking fo some plain, easy-to-wear shorts. Any ideas? (oh, and I can't buy off internet - I never know what size I am etc.)

Matalan have a great range of shorts at the moment, ranging from said hotpants all the way to long shorts, and everything in between. And they're all under a tenner.
I should know, I spend most of my shifts putting them back

Have you looked in all the normal places? Topshop, river island, peacocks, primark etc? If you can get to one Mango or Bershka might also be somewhere to look.

I got some lovely linen shorts from New Look. Think they were only £6. Worth a look. They do black or white. I think they do blue and pink as well.

I've not seen a single pair of denim shorts i've liked im afraid. They tend to either look to short and tarty or long, frayed and trampy, methinks I'd stick to jeans or shorts and not mix the two.

If you really want a pair, i did see some okay ones in river island once :p: They're a bit more trendy in there =]

    happy shorts-shopping

I don't think its just you!

I've been struggling to find some nice denim shorts as well. All the ones I've seen have horrible faded or ragged effects.
I just want some simple shortish dark denim ones with tiny turn ups at the bottom.
Nightmare! Maybe I'm just too fussy...
