I dropped out of uni at the beginning of this year to start a different course in September this year and when I reapplied for student finance I selecting living away from parents instead of living with parents because I was in the mindset of halls even though my permanent address is with my Mum and her partner. Now it's asking for the financial details of my Mum and Dad rather than Mum and partner.
Is it okay to just cancel and redo my application or do I need to send that letter to get things changed. If I do need to send the letter, should i still get my Dad to fill in his details for now?

Thanks

Hi there,

You do not need to cancel your application.

Your mum and her partner should be able to support your application on their online accounts.
If they cannot do this, I would advise they complete the paper PFF2 form and send this with a cover letter just confirming that you want your mum and her partner to support your application.

Thanks, Ashley.

Sorry, I'm a little confused, how can my Mum and partner support it? For context, my Mum has already supported it and my Dad has been contacted but hasn't supported it yet because I realised I'd made the mistake and asked him to hold off so I could try and sort it

Hi Muzugalium,
If you ask your mum and her partner to complete and post the PFF2 Form then we will make sure the details are correct on your application.
Thanks, Isaac.

Oh actually one more question sorry, should I also be sending a covering letter with the PFF2 form when I send it to explain or is the form enough?

You're welcome . We would definitely advise sending in a cover letter just so you can explain your situation but it's not required.
Thanks, Isaac.
