I want to do economics at university so is further maths a good A level alongside maths economics and physics? And do I even need it considering the difficulty and workload?

It’s excellent, but just maths is enough for most economics degrees. But further maths will look very good and may strengthen your application even more. Doing those 4 a levels will be soul-destroying so maths, economics and physics is more than enough for an economics degree. But if you feel like you can do 4 a levels, then go ahead.

Depends on the uni. For LSE if your school offers it you really should take it.
4 A-levels isn't that bad if one of them is FM

I've heard Warwick to be especially competitive for economics but idk about how mathematical their course is. I'd recommend you take FM anyway just so you're not limited in choice regarding unis.

That said, take it only if you're interested in maths and enjoy the problem-solving aspect.
