    over the past few years it has been similar to this mark and everyone found chem quite hard so I think chem will be low.

    On OCR, it can be about 70% for A* at times, not sure about AQA, but I'm guessing it's similar.

    yes!!!!!!!! chem unit 2 when i did it in jan was 35/45 to get an A*, its all on their website under the grade boundaries

    you sure it isnt 90% UMS, because that is what it is normally! it makes it easier u c!

    No, the UMS pass mark is always the same, but they adjust the grades for each exam to fit the UMS, depending on how everyone did. For example, if everyone on average got a lower mark than normal, you'd need less marks to get the 90% UMS for that exam.

    90% raw coursework
    90% raw for each exam out of 100.

    So yeah, 90% UMS, but 90% raw too I guess.

    On the OCR Module Tests you need 45/50 for an A* (AKA 90%), that's for three "main" modules.

    The Ideas and Context Module (which accounts for the same percentage as the other three), is usually a bit lower, in fact I think one year it was 25/40 for the Ideas and Context Test for an A*.

    thats what i meant, i just cant explain things very well lol

    It is 90% for me in Physics and Chemistry AQA.

    It is actually quite lower in Biology, but I do not know for sure as I dropped it!
