The Peterborough by-election vs antisemitism in Labour Watch

The Labour victory in the Peterborough by-election came as a surprise after the bookies and much of the media had reached a foregone conclusion that the Brexit Party would win hands down.

What is more important are the demographics of the constituency. Peterborough is neither a blue collar Old Labour heartland nor a Corbynite enclave. It's a marginal constituency and clearly part of the battleground that Labour must win in order to win the next general election.

Therefore the Labour victory in Peterborough is signalling that despite Jeremy Corbyn's many controversies and criticisms over his credentials, perhaps Labour is connecting with a sufficiently high number of 'ordinary' folk in C1 and C2 socioeconomic groups for them to win the marginal constituencies in the suburbs and the shires.

This raises a question whether the vast majority of the fuss over antisemitism in the party really just a grievance expressed by a small (but highly vocal) number of Jews, Zionists, and media apparatchiks, but is not an issue that most 'ordinary' voters give a damn about?

No comments on this?!

Then perhaps the allegations of anti-Semitism in Labour are nothing more than the piercing screams from a miniscule number of Jews, Jew lovers, and Zionists with big mouths but the majority of the public can either see through them or basically couldn't care less.

It's an absolute load of rubbish mate, led by disingenuous right wing or centrist Labour MP's. Have a look at the inconsistencies in Margaret hodges comments.

Utter rubbish
