For the English Baccalaureate you need a pass in
- Maths
- English Language
- English Literature
- Either Double Science or 3 Separate Sciences (3 of Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Computer Science)
- History or Geography
- An ancient or modern foreign language (French, Spanish, German, Latin, Ancient Greek etc)

So, yes - theoretically if you were doing triple science you could not do one of the three traditional 'natural sciences' and opt to do CompSci as a replacement i.e. do Biology, Chemistry and Computer Science. However, in reality, most students will do all three sciences and CompSci if they opt to do Computer Science. If you're doing double science it'll make no difference. On its own, no - computer science will not contribute to the EBacc in most cases.

PS: The EBacc is irrelevant to students generally. It's more an ambiguous measure for schools.

Just as the person above mentioned, EBacc is just a fancy term and nothing else.

It has no meaning/value whatsoever.

Just because you couldn't handle computer science doesn't mean others can't.

In a world in the information age, computer science is a great feather to have on your cap even if you don't like it.
