Free and cheap things to do this summer

:parrot:Summer is here!*:parrot:

Wherever you live in the UK, what have you got planned this summer which either costs nothing or is really low cost?

A few ideas if you're in and around Brighton:

- Have a beach day, complete with BBQ or picnic, music and a swim in the sea
- Pride, which is on the first weekend of August, is mostly free with some ticketed events and areas
- Head to beautiful countryside spots of the South Downs - like Seven Sisters, Devil's Dyke
- Do the undercliff walks between Brighton and Saltdean
- Paddle Round the Pier is a free charity beach event on July 6-7
- The pier is always a good shout for the 2p machines and rides

What do you plan to do this summer that doesn't break the bank?

:koala:

*Unless you're doing further maths, in which case it's very nearly here!

What about on our (admittedly rare) hot days when sitting inside is too much?

Oops I didn't read the question correctly, the listed activities are NOT what I am doing - just some ideas on what could be done

I'm just matched betting, playing games, going for walks, shopping, hopefully learning something (doubt it), YouTube, random online stuff etc

@Puddles the Monkey any tips?

Go outside to a lovely park or beach and then go on TSR? :beard:
Oh as well I forgot, go birdwatching. That is free. If anyone wants any tips I have loads and know the majority of British birds by heart.

- Going to the library, reading books and learning a new skill.
-Hanging out at a hypster type cafe where there are board games you can play for free.
- Visiting local galleries and museums (some are free).
That's fine, ideas are very welcome too! Matched betting is great because it's better than free, it makes you money  what would you learn if you do manage it?

Definitely discrete maths (e.g. sets, mathematical induction) in order to be better prepared for university and actually try and remember what I did 5 years ago!

I will be hibernating
Nobody should visit Brighton beach on purpose, ever. Eastbourne is better,
