Well done Jackie! It seems that good things do come to those who wait! You must be thrilled to bits.
Nice one, a bit like the London busses then huh!
It must be promising for the permanent job as well though, if they are checking your references!
Well done though, you deserve it for sure.

Probably sounds stupid, but there are actually no words to describe have relieved I am - I know its only 6 months and I might be unemployed again come the end of it, but it feels good knowing that I'll have 6 months experience - no deskilling for me!

It does take some of the pressure off and you now have six months to find a permanent post. With 6 months of real physio experience, and your assistant experience, under your belt you will be streets ahead of the competition!

well things haven't progressed much since I blogged last, infact I almost think its all going backwards!

My job with one hospital is still provisionally confirmed, but the other job at a hospital I'd prefer to work out is still hanging in the air as they STILL haven't amde a decision and the interviews were 2 weeks ago.......and annoyingly, after dropping it on me that my 2nd referee wasn't appropriate I now find out they sent the reference request for my first referee to someone that I didn't even list as a reference! *sigh*

I can't leave it much longer before making a definite decision so I think I may leave it a few more days and if I still haven't heard anything then I'll comfirm my offered job and then tell the other hospital in question that they've taken too long and I've lost interest lol

Well the final decision is in..........................I got the other job! I'm so chuffed its ridiculous and my hands are still shaking after the telephone call. Just tried to call the other job and tell them I don't want it anymore but typically its too late in the day and they've gone home for the weekend so will have to try again on Monday,.

Official start date is Oct 6th so have a few more weeks ahead of me temping, but things are finally going in the right direction
