Hi, I was wondering if anybody had any ideas of any EPQ ideas that would involve English Literature mainly? I was thinking of doing Macbeth but that might be too similar to my A level course. Thank you

looking at how a certain genre has impact on the world today, or a certain popular book or writer.

You could look at how literature deals with a certain topic and how it affects people, i.e mental health or war

You could study the evolution of literature/ themes in literature between two periods of time (e.g. Shakespearean and 19th Century) or between two locations at a specific time (e.g. 19th century American vs 19th century English literature)

Potential themes could be:
- Representation of gender roles
- Political opinions and War
- Representation of family life
- Representation of education and work
- Representation of /Difference in social class

I hope this helps! And good luck with the EPQ! ))
