Okay have I lost the plot? I just received an email stating they will start sending out interview invites on Dec 13th?? "195 for A101 Graduate Entry Medicine"
Were all of these just early invites then?

If that’s the case, seems a pretty odd way to do it!

Last year they had done the same thing where we got a newsletter after people received interview invites but actually in the end the people that got the “early invites” were the only ones who got the interview. There wasn’t a second batch.

Okay so I just rang up, asking if there is going to be another batch of interviews sent out. She said that not all decisions have been sent out, and we should hear back in the next week or two (though the email said by the 13th) and just to be patient :’)

With no rejection email, even when people have received rejections, I’m inclined to be hopeful, and if they actually HAVE given all interviews then their email would kinda be a lie?

Thanks for checking with them. But I wonder if the decisions mean rejections😂. Last year the admission team gave similar response and ppl received rejections. I tried to be negative then any good news could be a surprise....

I hope not 😭 I did ask in reference to interviews so I hope that was what her reply meant too. Plus I know not everyone posts on the TSR but it doesn’t sound like they’ve handed out as many interviews yet as they said they are going to in newsletter. But that’s just wishful thinking of mine 😂

How can they say they "We will start issuing our invitations for interview on 13 December" when really they have already started issuing invites? And they did it last year as well? I'm an international so to me that seems totally messed up but is this kind of thing more commonplace in the UK? I mean in the grande scheme of things it's not a big deal and I'm used to universities just being silent or giving me the run around but this kind of lie doesn't sit right with me as a potential student.
Being a bit dramatic but feels like the next step could be " Assignments are due on the 13th" but actually only students that submitted a week earlier get graded.

That's FOI reply is taking the mick. Usually medical schools don't disclose application statistics for the current cycle until after the cycle ends. How can they say one thing on the email and another on an official FOI request.

The one with 2560 is likely one of the top 5 in their Biomed course who got offered an interview.
