I failed 2 modules.Do I have to retake the year?

I'm a first year student.I think I've failed 2(possibly 3) out of 6 modules(after summer resits). Does the mean I have to retake them modules next year on their own (and be held back a year) or will I be able to retake them alongside year 2 modules.
What course you taking?

I think you can only fail two modules out of the whole three years, to even get a grade/full degree.

Considering you failed two modules in your first year (the easiest of them all), I'd advise you to consider an alternative route that is not university because it may not be for you.

Hi there

Your summer resit results will be out on 26 July. Once you have your results you will need to be in touch with the Registry Office if you have failed your your resits. Just to let you know you can carry over 1 failed module into your 2nd Year. Therefore if you find that you have only failed one module you will be allowed to progress into Year 2 and resit the module alongside your Year 2 modules.

If you fail 2 or 3 modules you cannot progress into Year 2. You will be given a final opportunity to retake the modules again and will have to attend as a module retriever for the year studying the failed modules only.

Please check with the Registry Office however as there are a few courses that do not allow module retrievers.

You should also check with Student Finance as your student loans may affected.

Best wishes

This is ********, I know people who fail just because they **** about yet got great a levels, who went on to repeat with flying colours. I suggest you shut up and don't kick people when they're down, says volumes about you.

I'd suggest checking the date of posts and their author's last activity date before bothering to criticise them. 😃
