This is not good advice at all.

Firstly as the OP is under 18 then pure gym require that he/she attends an induction, where they will ask for Birth Cert to proof the member is at least 16.
You’ll need adult supervision under 16. You can’t lie about your age, I don’t know the process as I joined PureGym when I was 18, but there is a minimum age for a reason. If anything happens to you, they could get in trouble and obviously they don’t want that. That’s why you need adult supervision, makes them less liable.

Can’t you go with someone at least 18? Otherwise I would say wait and try some home stuff etc

Looking to start at PureGym only I’ve looked in the website and I need to be 16, I’m only 15. If I just claim to be 16 when signing up when I get there will they ask for ID or has the signing up process finished there and then online?

I moved to puregym recently and I just filled out the application online and got a pin. The induction isn’t necessary
I go to pure and the other day there were these two 15 year olds working out next to me and the manager came up and asked them how old they were then proceeded to kick them out.
Depends if you keep to yourself and you’re working out sensibly. Most 15 year old guys look quite mature anyway.

They were working out sensibly, but they did look like kids. It’s the first time I’ve seen it and I’ve been going to the same gym for a couple of years.
I did that a year ago, however, I looked about twelve. I was never questioned but I felt so uncomfortable. My friend did the same, he was 5’3 and looked twelve also but was asked for I.D so he quite. I had other friends who looked sixteen and they were never questioned, the personal trainers would even help them out and chat to them. If you look sixteen you’ll be fine.
It’s open 24/7. If you’re concerned try going later at night when the only staff about are the cleaners who never really bother talking anyway?
I train at two gyms:

I train at a local specialist gym which is very bodybuilding focused and the equipment is all old fashioned plate loaded stuff, or just free weight. Lots of competing members and a good atmosphere.

My second gym is Pure Gym, of which I have an off peak membership when I can't make the opening hours of the above. I have also had a busy pure gym as my one and only gym In a separate area.

If you look 16 they won't ask or check if you look under 16 they will ask as I'm only 15 but look 16 and they didn't care staff walked past and even the manager did but didn't say anything
