Condense Notes, how?

How would you condense notes from a hefty a-level revision guide?
use the specification! that helped me the most in condensing notes
I don't know how others do it, but I'd just try write it as concisely as possible by getting the key points being discussed, sort of like a 'skeleton' of the revision guide (basically what the spec outlined, though I was always too lazy to flip through that )

Then, on a flashcard, I'd give myself one line for each paragraph and abbreviate as much as possible so that I'd still understand it, but would be enough to jog my memory for the whole paragraphs' worth of information. So pretty much each point/paragraph I'd condense into 3-6 words.
