I'm in yr 12 and we just started learning this and I'm confused on how the sympathetic nervous system can trigger the adrenal glands because the adrenal glands is hormonal? Or can they intertwine like that so nervous can join with hormonal and vice versa?
Also does anyone have an easy mnemonic or just easy method to remember action potential in the neuronal communication- we started this in school and it seems like soooo much info

Yes, both the hormonal and nervous system within the human body work together, parallel or separately. Simply, a nervous impulse is sent via the sympathetic nervous system to the adrenal glands, which stimulates it to release certain hormones.
