What is it?

Movie Madness is a knockout competition for films. Think of World Cup, but with all of the overpaid footballers replaced with moments of celluloid perfection. 64 films will be placed into groups. For the first week you can vote on films in each group. The winners and Runner ups from each group will then go through to "the last 16" and face head to head knockouts until only one remains to be declared the victor. A TSR poll will decide the outcome of each match-up.

Which films are involved?

It was debated long and hard as to which films should be included, we decided to start with the IMDB top 64 list of film but then decided upon 8 Groups.. 7 of which we've picked and split by genres. We tried to avoid multiple films from the same series(e.g Godfather 1,2,3) all being on the list and avoided brand new films since that often skews voting. The 8th group however we're leaving to you. Make your suggestion here. (Note suggestions are now closed)

Nice to see this tradition back, and a solid selection of films :yy: Will give me some ammunition for stuff to watch over the next few weeks. Disappointed by the lack of Horror category but I can see why it didn't make the cut, and I'd personally consider randomising the rounds rather than breaking them up by category.

Wildcard nomination: Black Swan

Haha looking through the threads from all those years ago was a blast from the past. As to next round. The 2 films from each category won't go up head to head straight away- Will match them up with films from other categories :yy:
