So I just finished high school and will be starting college soon. I have very low self esteem and insecurities which is resulting in me slowly developing anxiety and depression. My parents are suffering, financially, and have their own problems. I feel as though I have no one to talk to and I don’t know what to do. I constantly have this fear that if I tell my parents about all this I will become a burden to them and put more stress on their shoulders and that’s something that will make me feel guilty. Any advice for me? X

Go to your school and ask for advice from the school paatoral staff that you already know.

Sorry to hear you're feeling like this - book an appointment with your GP and talk to them, they will be the best people to give you advice.
