Disney shouldn’t be life action. The films are meant to come across as being mystical and magical, live action really does not do this.

Plus. They are running out of ideas.

i doubt a talking dragon would look fitting or realistic in a live action film. they'd announced ages ago that him and li shang wouldn't be in this version.

i don't know how to feel about this tbh, i felt a bit deflated after watching the teaser especially as mulan is one of my absolute favourite disney films (i hadn't been really looking forward to this version since the beginning and all the changes they were announcing)
maybe it will be more realistic i guess as there's no talking dragon but i've heard they're giving her magical powers (which i hope is not true as that takes away from her character- she does NOT need magic to be a good warrior)... i love mulan so maybe i'll give this a chance if the full trailer looks more promising. maybe i'm just being biased and don't like change:dontknow: but some of twitter have been saying that this is probably closer to the chinese legend the movie is based off on so it does make sense; maybe i just need time to warm up to it.

Most live action adaptations are just a let down, would be interesting to see how they do Mushu and Cri-Kee though.

Not Mushu! Why would they mess with him, he was great.

There are a few clips of a hawk flying above Mulan, if they've tuned Mushu into a bird it'll be a travesty.

I have omitted Aladdin and will do the same to the Lion King, but... this is an exception. That could be a great real film with nice martial arts moments. It is on my list.

The key word is CGI animation. But I hope it would be a good one when I possible go to the cinema just for this film!

Especially it is a good disney film. My expections are very high for the next year, hope that I don't regret it afterwards.

Hopefully they won’t add an unnecessary ‘white’ character like they did in Aladdin (2019) lol
