Hi all :wavey:

Now that exams are over and done with and you're waiting for results, it might be an idea to do a bit of research on what happens when you get your results.

Clearing & adjustment isn't all about people who've not met their grades, it's also for people who've done better than expected and want to consider going somewhere else.

It's a pretty stressful time all round, but with a bit of prep before hand, you'll know exactly what to expect before results day.

We've got some really useful info on our website on about how to prepare for results days, how to apply through clearing and adjustment, a load of FAQs and some advice also for parents and carers.

We're also holding a couple of webchats. One for students on Monday 12th August 4.30 - 6.00pm and one for parents and carers on Tuesday 13th August from 5.30 - 7.00pm. More info available here: https://www.lboro.ac.uk/clearing/web-chat/

We don't list out courses that enter in to clearing and adjustment until a few days before A-level results day, but you can register for updates so you'll know as soon as they go live.

Take a look here https://www.lboro.ac.uk/clearing/ for more info.

Good luck everyone :crossedf:

Hi,

I am a mature student, and I already have my A-levels. Do I still need to wait until the 15th August before I can apply to loughborough through clearing?

Hi fredh172,

Thanks for your message!

You do still have to wait until the 15th August to apply to Loughborough University through clearing - however our phone lines do open at 7:30am! I would recommend giving us a call as soon as you can on Thursday! You'll find our number and further information on our website https://www.lboro.ac.uk/clearing/

Best of luck

Becky

Hi all :hello:

Just a quick reminder that Loughborough University will have several subjects going into Clearing this week – keep an eye on the website for any updates: https://www.lboro.ac.uk/clearing/courses/

If you haven’t already, I would strongly recommend checking out our clearing webpage which has lots of information and guidance surrounding what happens on results day and everything that you will need to know! This will massively help to reduce stress and last-minute panicking on the day. Do your research and have back up options at the ready! https://www.lboro.ac.uk/clearing/

Secondly, just a quick reminder that we are holding the first of our webchats FOR STUDENTS tonight from 4:30-6pm. Check out our link for more info and feel free to send your questions across tonight! We also have our webchat for PARENTS AND CARERS on Tuesday 13th August (tomorrow) from 5:30-7pm so direct them to use this (and help them to get set up if needed!!) so they can ask any questions they wish to. https://www.lboro.ac.uk/clearing/web-chat/

And finally, best of luck. I understand that this period is stressful but being organised and having a back-up plan is key and will help you remain focused on the day.

All the best,

Becky
