I'm confused as to whether I should be focusing on the "overall grade" for this year, or if I should be focusing on the individual exam grades (Speaking & Listening, Exam, Grammar) as I'm doing a language course.
I'm asking this because I did well on some assessment modules, and not so well on others, but my overall grade is above the pass mark which is good.
I need to find out because there is the option of doing a resit exam, but whatever I get on that will overwrite the old grade.

If you're doing a language degree course, and you've got above the pass mark on every assessment, then I'd be surprised if you needed to do any resits. This will obviously depend on your specific university though.

You should have been told how many credits each module is worth, and what overall mark you got for each, and then you can calculate your overall year mark from those.

Hey, usually you should have passed all your modules to go through to next year?

Not heard of resits being offered for grade improvement - usually they're offered to facilitate progression to the next year after a failed module and capped at 40% afaik...

so you should take resits when they're offered because you won't be allowed to progress to the next year without them
