https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/06/16/students-have-chance-getting-accepted-top-university-thisyear/ quite interesting for all of you I think

TL;DR
* Getting into top universities will be easier for 2020 entry as (1) less 18yo this year, (2) many deferring due to coronavirus, (3) others canceling and looking to apply for 2021 again due to coronavirus
* But 2021 entry will be "extremely" competitive as in the wake of the current economic crisis a degree will hold more value, all the deferring students will be applying as well on top of high school seniors

MSN: Top Australian university already sees nearly double applications for 2021 entry compared to 2019 cycle https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/video/competition-increasing-for-university-entry-in-2021/vp-BB15JNQ3

What course are you applying for: Medicine
What universities are you thinking of: Southampton, Essex, Cambridge, Brighton and Sussex, Central Lancashire, and Swansea
A level / IB / Higher predicted grades: I don't know but I got AAAA on my third term reports. I'm in AS
GCSE grades: ABBBBC
Extracurricular: Football, art, and cooking.
