Are you signed up to be an organ donor when you pass away? Or do you really not like the idea, feel a bit conflicted, or not really considered it before?

If you have considered it before, was there anything in particular that made you opt in or not? Perhaps you knew someone who benefited from a transplant, or you are concerned about how the decision would work with your faith. I'd love to hear everyone's opinions

Or, if you haven't thought about it - what would make you think about it and make your decision?

I personally am an organ donor because I believe that if I have the opportunity to help someone I should do it, but I still feel a bit strange about some of the things you can donate, like your corneas.

What are your thoughts? :beard:

I'm not an organ donor. I feel uncomfortable about it. It's not rational i know but that's how it is. Fair play to those that are

I thought about this topic some time ago, I like to think I would, because after I'm gone I'm just a piece of flesh, so it does make me think it's a nice thing to do, of course, with organ donations they really do make the most of you, heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, corneas like you sais, skin etc, it really is a matter of personal preference and I can understand if someone didn't want to do it, but then again you can donate specific organs.

I'm an organ donor, and have been since I was 18. Given the the number of people who require transplants vastly outweighs the number of available organs, it's a good contribution to make. It's not as though I'll need my body anymore. :dontknow:

I've been told not to by various specialists because of medical reasons, so. There's no option for that in the poll haha.

All for it, it's not like I'm going to need them anymore, and it's going to help someone in need.

Indifferent.
By the time my organs are available for use I'll no longer be in a position to care.

If the worst was to happen, your family would be asked whether you would have wanted your organs donated - would you let them know your thoughts before, or would you be happy with whatever decision they made?
