5 in further not a problem. History will not jeopardise your chances and if you are more likely to do well and enjoy it do it. Also, you have straight a*s apart from further as I don’t think for 2020 at least any unis discriminate between 8 and 9
Thank you so much!

Russel group easy yes. Cambridge: depends on everything else. Oxford: hopefully but read the OP in full.

Check the websites and university policy on BTECs but I fear the answer may well be no. Other unis will take BTECs but I don't think Oxbridge regard them as equivalent. Other top unis may well do the same.

Art won't hold you back and it is competitive. Those subjects look fab, but why are you doing 4?

That's a really crap policy for the school.

If you reach interview stage I'd say it's worth disclosing this then. :yep:

I got this:
English Lit-9
English Lang-9
Maths-8
French-8
Biology-8
Chemistry-7
Physics-7
History-9
RS-9
Drama-8

And I’m taking History, RS and Drama for A level. I finished in the upper quartile of my year group and potentially in the top ten (out of 85-90). Will these grades be competitive at Cambridge for any of the following: History, Politics, H&P, PPE

What subjects are you doing at A Level?

A lot will depend on your BMAT scores I imagine.

Your GCSE grades are fine for Cambridge medicine.

What subjects will you be taking for A Levels?
