I have previously been windsurfing and I usually wear googles, but I was thinking about wearing contact lenses. If I fall into the sea, would there be a problem if I wore them??

If they are daily disposable contact lenses, it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. If you’re wearing goggles, it probably won’t matter anyway. If you’re worried about it, you can get prescription goggles instead.

I won't recommend it in general, if googles are very uncomfortable you can use daily disposable lenses, but remember to take them off right after you finish training and use moisturizing eye drops with antiseptic effect (like Gentile or Hylo-comod).
You'd better consult with your optometrist (might be your eyes are too sensitive and contacts are not an option at all etc...)

Anyways, prescription googles are safer.
