Hi, I just got an email inviting me for an interview for SCCIT based teacher training course. I have to do 5min presentation on my favorite teacher . I do not have problem with talking about my favorite teacher ect... but the power point presentation?
Any ideas on what can I put on the screen? My mind is blank!

Is a powerpoint presentation essential? If not, I probably wouldn't bother with it if you don't have any ideas- for a five minute presentation, setting it up will be a PITA anyway.

If you need to do a powerpoint presentation, I'd suggest maybe 3 slides, one introducing your favourite teacher, one sumarising your key points for the main part of your talk, and one as a sort of conclusion/implications for your own teaching type slide.

Thank you! I was thinking about ditching the PowerPoint- as I feel it would be just weird to put pictures of my teacher in. I am stressing so much about it! I just want to make a good impression.

If a powerpoint isn't required, for 5 minutes I wouldn't bother. You could check with the provider if you're unsure.

The admissions tutor will be looking for you to show potential- so a confident, clear delivery, a well structured presentation, holding people's attention etc. If you can do this without a powerpoint, that's even better tbh!
