Hi!

I have just passed my driving test with flying colours! Only 2 minors! I learnt in a diesel and am now having real struggles with our Petrol car, it’s a 1.6 engine (what ever that means 😂) but I stall near enough everytime on a round about and at junctions! Weirdly I have no issue with hill starts. Iv only driven the car a few times alone but I’m getting worked up and nervous worried that someones going to go into the back of me when I stall.

Where am I going wrong? How do I over come this...

My advice would be too put more gas on than you think you'll need as you'll be less likely to stall it. That's how I got used to a petrol car anyway😂

Practice a lot. Just drive up and down a quiet road stopping and starting.

Also take your time... It's easy to feel rushed at junctions but if you rush it you'll mess up!

Put on a lot of gas- sounds like you’re not putting on enough on the flat if you have no problem on hills but you stall normally. Good luck!
