So I'm in year 12 and we have to do prep work for year 13 which includes: create a sketchbook collecting all our exhibition visits all in one place and create a draft for the essay for personal investigation.

Everyone in my class has a theme they want to do (e.g. portraits, animals, landscapes) so they are doing theirs based around that theme.
I dont really know what theme I want to do to be honest. All I know is the type of work I want to do during my coursework, which is printmaking. Does the essay have to be a theme we can use as a prompt for the coursework or can I literally just write about different printing processes for the essay.
