I was just wondering what I should be doing in summer after my GCSEs, before year 12. Since finishing my exams I have been on holiday with both my mates and family, been to a sixth form taster day and been on and engineering course at university.

For the rest of the summer I have a job in an office, generally the hours are quite flexible and I can take days off as long as I give advanced notice, so I would like to know in my free time, in the rest of the summer should I be doing and work or getting certain things organised in order to prepare for year 12?

You should relax. See friends, do hobbies, pick up hobbies.

You don't need to do anything in particular. Plenty of people won't have done anything. If you're interested, you could get into a book related to your subject.

I agree with the others relax! You've been working hard for exams all year! In my school, they did give out 'Summer Tasks' which were designed for us to get an idea of the topics within the A-Levels we had chosen. You could always read around the subjects/courses you've chosen, look at specs and stuff, but I didn't do that until closer to when I started. Just have fun and relax, and when it gets closer you do some reading and some general preparation!
