So baso I did my grade 5 violin the other day and got my mark back which was 83/100. My parents kept going on about how I didn’t practice and it’s not good enough for GCSE even though I practiced every day and was really confident with it but when the exam came around I got a bit nervous. Personally, I’m hella happy with my score but parents not so much. In my previous grades I got grade 1-122/150 I think, 2-91/100, 3-93/100, 4-87/100 and 5- 83/100. I was only 4 marks of a distinction and have been playing violin for 4 years please help

It shouldn't matter about what your parents think of your grade. I have a few friends who play violins...I know how much practice you need to put in to to get high marks. You did your best. Well done! 😀

one merit won’t make a difference tbh, just keep it up and you’ll do amazing regardless! it’s still a stellar achievement and you have every right to be proud of yourself. good luck❤️❤️
