Is A-level graphic design boring? I'm interested in illustration but can't decide whether to take art A-level or graphic design A-level, I'm good at art but my parents are saying they don't think I would enjoy graphic design. My other subjects I've chosen are English language and history. Also will I have too many soft subjects? I would either like to get a degree in history if not an art based degree.

It really depends on the school and the teacher - I used to have this teacher who made us do repetitive tasks on Photoshop but now I have this new teacher who taught us so much that it was like I was still new to Photoshop. We use other software's too so every lesson there's something new to learn (from my experience anyway). Though if you purely want to draw or paint I'd say go for Art.
