In the absence of the green-fingered king that was Captain Jack () I thought I'd make this thread...
Do you enjoy gardening?

I enjoy gardening sometimes, but only in small bursts. The other day I was out clearing some ivy from the trellis above our fence because neither of my parents can reach it.

Do you have a garden at home?
Does your family mostly garden or do you get involved too?
What's your favourite thing about gardening?
Perhaps you could share some photos of your outback?:awesome:

Post your thoughts below. :ahee:
(Please note this thread is not for bragging about how many acres you might have at the back of your ken.)

I don't think so.

I have never gardened (is that a word?) because it doesn't look much fun :dontknow:

I've only started watering my plants this year because previously I always thought only the strongest deserved to live. I must be going soft or something

We have a garden but it's a real work in progress, had to rip out paving and a greenhouse so it's not particularly use able for anyone but the cat at the moment.

No I don't. I have an immense dislike for bugs, and a fear of bees and anything else that buzzes. This stops me getting involved with most outside things!

Yep, chose it as a 2nd career, finishing my Horti Degree through in Edinburgh for now and do lots of contract work for the local councils, housing associations and the like, odds and ends of community work as well.

My fave thing about it is simply being outdoors and always on the move, my 4th biggest nightmare is going back to a 9-5 office job. Keeps me v fit as well, more than a gym ever could, and if you're the right build and a grafter you make good money for little stress.

I don't keep my own garden, why bother?

I've started to enjoy gardening recently, though I'll only go outside for short periods because of my hayfever no one else in my house likes it/bothers to do it, so I figured I might as well have a go

yes
mum does it all - my sister joins in apparently though can't see her being any good - My mum used to get me to help her out but all the help I was was getting the ladybirds off the bush and onto the roses - they eat the aphids that eat the rose leaves :borat: good dead done
hate the feeling of getting soil beneath your nails :yucky:

favourite thing about gardening is the aesthetic of it after you're done and watching funky kitten Stanley ruin your hard work
or me with a football - you choose

nah that's effort bruh
