Hello, I am currently a year 10 student going into year 11 in September.

I’ve decided to create this blog to share with everyone my journey to getting (hopefully) a grade 7 and above in all my subjects:

Edexcel Maths
Edexcel History
-American West/Medicine/Anglo Saxons/
Weimar
AQA Physics (separate)
AQA Chemistry (separate)
AQA Biology (separate)
AQA English Lit
AQA English Lang
AQA RS
AQA French

My favourite subjects are Biology, Chemistry, French.

Ideally:ALL Grade 9
Realistically:
I hope to get at least grade 7s in French,RS,History, and English Lit
I hope to get at least grade 8s/9s in Bio, Physics,Chemistry, English Language,Maths

I’ve been quite fortunate to have “good” teachers this year and *fingers crossed* will get them next year. I quite enjoy all my subjects, with my favourite being Biology and least favourite being RS.

My Year 10 EOY Exam Results(Although the grade boundaries set by my school for certain subjects (English) were a bit low
Maths-8(Low)
English Lang-9(Low)
English Lit-8(Stable)
Chemistry-7(Stable)
Biology-7(High)
Physics-8(High)
History-7(Low)
French-Not out yet
RS-5(stable) (I didn’t revise this😞)

In terms of how I revise, I like trying new things but the resources I use are hegarty maths, Corbett maths, educake, mygcsescience, Collins Connect Online Textbook, Kerboodle French and everyone’s favourite;freegcsesciencelessons

I am looking to do A levels in Bio, Chemistry and either History,Psychology,Politics, French or economics and would like to do medicine at uni and would like to share my journey with you

Outside of school...
I Volunteer weekly in a charity shop
Qualified first aider
Watch a lot of Netflix

I hope this will help you and motivate you to revise as much as I hope it will motivate me!

My man's a qualified first aider. I like that! I honestly think that's one of the most amazing things I've read in someone's GYG introduction.

Had a bit of a slow start this summer, mainly relaxing. But today I started making some biology flash cards which have taken up the majority of today.

I’ve been looking over the homework I’ve got over the summer aswell

Spoiler:
Show
Surprisingly less than I thought!🤔

I’ve been using the CGP revision guide to revise science and plans for upcoming week include starting to read the first short story of my book in French and translate it, then getting all my science notes from Year 10 finished by Sunday

Spoiler:
Show
Or as many as I can fit in one week(Wish me Luck!)😊

How is everyone else’s summer gone so far? Have you done any revision and how’s it going?
