Hi, could any student midwives let me know how your experience was with accomodation and your placement. I will be moving away from home to the university and with the shift pattern public transport would not allow me to travel from the university to the placement hospital. How have people overcome this?

Each university will have their own policy for placements - it's worth asking to see this. They will advise you of how much you can claim for accommodation near/at the hospital and how to go about this. If you haven't already, it would be worth speaking to the university's placement coordinator/facilitator to get their advice.
